Donation for Earthquake Victims in Central China
An 8.0 Richter scale magnitude earthquake happened on May 12, 2008, a Monday the world will remember. The earthquake was among the worst that struck in decades. It devastated a hilly region of small cities and towns in Sichuan and nearby provinces in Central China. The powerful earthquake destroyed roads, bridges and toppled buildings. Schools are particularly hard hit. The death toll is likely to top 50,000 as many are still missing and critically injured. Most survivors have lost everything, their properties, their dear loved ones and in many cases, their only child. They need your help. You can help those in need by donating through various funds set up for this purpose worldwide. Or you can do so through us, HKCOLO, from May 25 to June 25, 2008. The donations received will be aggregated over the period and sent to a recognized relief fund intended for the earthquake victims. For every donation received, HKCOLO intend to match the dollar amount with the same dollar amount in the final donation. The final donation will be acknowledged and published in our newsletter.
