• 01. Is the location of the site located on a flood plain or near to any nuclear, chemical or local sources of any other form of pollution?

  • No presence of high risk facilities in the vicinity suitable for mission critical business operations. Building is not directly on a major highway, arterial road or railway line. No history of flooding for over 100 years. Located outside flooding black spot area. The earthquake risk in Hong Kong is low to moderate. The location is not directly under departure or arrival flight paths.

• 02. Is the data center located in an area prone to earthquake?

  • Hong Kong lies far away from the nearest crustal plate boundary which is 600km away. The chance of major tremor is very small. The earthquake risk in Hong Kong is low to moderate.

• 03. Is there a single point of failure in the facility?

  • No single point of failure, fully redundant system.

• 04. Is the building secure and can it be access 24x7?

  • Site is manned by 24x7 security guard & all doors are equipped with security features as CCTV and access cards. On duty technical support officer is operating 24x7 to support customer need and site and services monitoring.

• 05. How do you handle visitors in times of pandemic like the COVID-19 today?

  • Strick visitor screening procedure is in place on site. Checking the temperature of all the visitors and mandatory filling up the health declaration form.

• 06. Is HKCOLO ISO certified?

  • HKCOLO holds Information Security Management System ISO/IEC 27001:2013 & IT Service Management System ISO/IEC 20000-1:2011 certifications

• 07. Is the data center easily accessible?

  • The data center is located at Chaiwan and it is accessible via public transport bus, taxi and train.

• 08. Does HKCOLO provide Engineering Support?

  • Basic remote hand and eyes support available 24x7 (equipment power on/off, alarm resetting and report visual check). Other services shall be classified as Engineering Support Service with charges applies.

• 09. Who will have responsibility to respond to any alarms?

  • Our 24x7 duty Data center’s NOC, Network & Facility Engineers.
